Why I Make Natural Soap—and What Makes It Different
My journey into soap making started the way a lot of great things do—by trying something new. I was gifted a bar from a local soap maker and was instantly in love. Something about it felt different. It was simple, yet special. That one bar of soap sent me down a rabbit hole of research, testing, and a whole lot of playing with oils, herbs, and natural ingredients.
Before I knew it, I’d found something more than just a hobby—I’d found a passion I wanted to share with the world.
At first, it was about understanding what we put on our skin. I wanted to make soap that was gentle, natural, and safe—for my family, my friends, and eventually for customers who felt the same way. Over time, I developed my own recipes, ones that skip the harsh stuff and focus on nourishing oils, rich butters, and healing herbs like calendula and lavender.
Each batch of soap I make is poured in small batches right here in Ontario. It’s personal, hands-on, and intentionally slow. Nothing mass-produced. No shortcuts. Just quality ingredients and care.
So, what makes my natural soap different?
-
✅ It’s made with real oils and butters, not detergents
-
✅ It’s free from harsh chemicals and synthetic surfactants
-
✅ It’s eco-friendly and biodegradable
-
✅ It’s crafted for sensitive skin
-
✅ It’s made by someone who truly cares—me!
