Looking Ahead to 2026: A Time for Reflection from a Small Business Owner

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying this quieter stretch between the holidays. As we get ready to head into 2026, I wanted to check in and wish everyone a Happy New Year.

If you follow along on social media, you’ve probably noticed that I’m an on-again, off-again kind of poster. My longtime customers have likely noticed this the over the years — sometimes I’m sharing often, and other times life pulls me in a different direction. Over the past little while, that meant stepping back a bit to spend more time with my family and simply enjoy the season.

This past year has been a reminder of just how quickly life moves. My kids are now 12, 14, and 23, and somehow time feels like it’s speeding up. On top of that, this year brought a huge milestone — becoming a Nana for the first time. Watching my family grow while realizing how fast these seasons pass has made me more aware of how important it is to slow down and enjoy the little moments when they show up.

Behind the scenes, I’ve also been doing some learning. Running a small business means constantly wearing new hats, and lately I’ve been working on improving my social media and marketing skills so I can show up better, share more clearly, and continue growing in a way that feels right for me and my business. It’s a work in progress, but one I’m committed to.

Aside from all of that, life is good.

As I look ahead to 2026, I’m feeling positive and ready for what’s next. I’m excited about new ideas, steady growth, and finding a better balance between creating, learning, and enjoying everyday life.
