The Beauty of the Basics: Why I’m Falling for Pillars
Let’s be real for a second—the cost of glass jars has been heading in one direction lately (up!), and that’s what originally pushed me to start test-pouring pillars about a year ago. But what started as a practical experiment turned into a total love affair with the look of a freestanding candle.
From the Test Burn to the Living Room Decor
I’ve spent many hours test-burning these in my own home to make sure the melt pool and burn time are exactly where they should be. I’ll admit, the testing was tricky! After 14 years of pouring into vessels, I had to learn that pillars have a very different burn to them. It’s a whole different science, but I wanted to make sure they were perfect before sharing them with you.
I also have to confess: half the time, I love them just as much when they aren't lit. I’ve been displaying them in my home just for the aesthetic. There is something so beautiful about a pillar; they look like little pieces of art whether they’re glowing or just sitting pretty.
The Best of Both Worlds
Don’t worry—my scented vessels aren't going anywhere! I’ll always have those cozy, fragrance-filled jars you love. But I wanted to create something a bit more minimalist for the collection, too.
I’ve chosen to keep these new pillars unscented, and here is why:
1.Sensitivity Friendly: I hear from so many of you who love the glow of a candle but struggle with scents due to allergies or sensitivities. These were made specifically with you in mind.
2.The Perfect Dinner Guest: These are the ultimate choice for your dining table. You get that beautiful, warm ambiance without any fragrance competing with the aroma of your meal.
3.Minimalist Decor: They offer a clean, simplistic look that fits perfectly into any decor style, lit or unlit.
I’m planning to add even more shapes and sizes to the pillar collection soon, but the first ones area available on my website NOW!
Whether you’re team "Scented Vessel" or team "Minimalist Pillar," there’s a spot for both in a cozy home!
From my home to yours, happy burning!
